There is rarely a dull day in South Africa – we are a movie, after all. Something, somewhere will grab you, or it will come to.

Take for instance a question posed on Twitter – where else, really? – that involves being part of a polygamous arrangement and choosing between two men. Wild and thought-provoking, as one would imagine.

“If you had no choice but to join a polygamous marriage, which position would you choose?” asked user Lwammie last week. The two men in question were businessman Lucky Somkhanda Gumbi and reality television star, Musa Mseleku.

Both men are married to multiple women (at the same time!) and are considered television personalities as they have made shows that showcase their private lives. Both men are also magnets for strong opinions about themselves and their respective lives.

What’s more, multiple users flocked to Lwammie’s question last week and shared their many, many thoughts and feelings. The replies were wild and varied: some considered who was more handsome, who had a higher net worth value, the happier wives, to who would offer the best soft life.

Nobody could agree on a single opinion, but the general consensus was that love or money generally won most over.

However, there were those who could not make a decision, or chose neither. Opting for their own third option.
